With the last of Round 4 Reef Rescue grants going out the door this month, we are now gearing up for the final round of Reef Rescue to begin in January 2012.

We are aiming to open the submissions for Round 5 earlier next year so that projects and reporting can be completed by the end of the financial year. The proposed application time is from 30 January to 16 March 2012. Funding will go out to landholders in August 2012 with the objective of projects being completed by June 2013.

This is the last opportunity for farmers to apply for Reef Rescue funds, so landholders should start talking to Extension Officers now about potential projects.
