We received more applications this year than in the previous three years of Reef Rescue, and 179 projects were funded.

Applications were higher from nearly all industries with additional applications received from fruit tree crops and pineapples for the first time. These crops had previously not been funded by Reef Rescue grants.

More waterways and erosion hotspot projects were funded this year with 20 projects being successful. There were 89 cane, 24 grazing, 13 dairy, 13 multi-crop and 20 horticultural projects funded in this round. A more detailed summary of individual projects will be posted on this site soon.
