Catchment and Landcare groups play a major role in setting priorities and implementing on-ground projects for landscape rehabilitation across the Wet Tropics region.  Much of the work is carried out by volunteers and catchment-based work teams, including Terrain's area-based teams and coordinators, who often work in close partnership with local government or other land management agencies.

A key focus for this network is to assist communities to rehabilitate riparian areas to protect water quality and biodiversity.
