A diversity of local community-based conservation, catchment management, traditional owner, industry and community development organisations contribute to the better management of natural resources in our region. They are all part of a vital network, coming together around specific projects to make things happen on the ground. In this section we introduce you to a few of their stories. Landcare and Catchment Management Groups The region's Landcare and Catchment Management Groups are key partners in the region's NRM network and major drivers and contributors toward local NRM efforts. These groups are vital in rallying and harnessing localised grass-roots action. Terrain's partnership with these groups continues to support the network of NRM coordinators who work within each of the Catchment Management Associations to carry out a range of local projects. A key focus for this network is to assist communities to rehabilitate riparian areas to proect water quality and biodiversity. Terrain's Catchment and Landcare partners include:
