The Cassowary Coast area includes the catchments of the North and South Johnstone, Tully and Murray Rivers. Terrain works closely with catchment groups such as Johnstone River Catchment Management Association, Tully Murray Floodplain Steering Committee as well as industry and local government. In 2009/09 these partnerships have achieved 15 ha of riparian rehabilitation, control of 71 ha of Hymenachne and 20 ha of Pond Apple weeds in priority sub catchments, two integrated feral pig control programs and completion of the Draft Mission Beach Habitat Network Action Plan.
