Our Priorities Include:

• Inform, educate and engage the community on natural resource management issues.
• Encourage the community to participate in the association's activities.
• Work closely with all land mangers to plan for sustainable integrated natural resource outcomes.
• Support all land managers to maintain profitable and sustainable land management practices.
• Protect existing natural values and restore degraded habitats.
• Monitor and report on the status of catchment health.

Activities

Russell Landcare holds frequent planting days on public and private properties throughout the year.  With the assistance of the Terrain Catchment Coordinator, funding applications are submitted to conduct strategic works throughout the catchment in partnership with various agencies such as Cairns Regional Council and utilities.

The RLCG in association with Terrain has also produced  the Babinda_Creek_Action_Plan_FINAL.pdf to guide investment for the period 2011 - 2015.
