| Funding to trial carbon abatement methods on farms |
| Written by Fiona George from DAFF media release |

Action on the Ground funding will help farmers trial and demonstrate on-farm practices and technologies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions such as methane and nitrous oxide or increase soil carbon as part of the government's Land Sector Package. These grants will provide farmers with support to develop the tools to mitigate the impact of climate change and help Australia meet its emission reduction targets. In his recent press release, Senator Joe Ludwig urged anyone interested in reducing on-farm greenhouse gas emission from the agricultural sector or increasing carbon stored in soils to make the most of this funding opportunity.
