Growcom's "Women in Horticulture – Leadership Journey" project offers leadership development, networking and training opportunities for women in the horticulture industry.

Women in north Queensland are invited to be part of this exciting initiative and access the opportunity to:

• Participate in the Leadership Program to be held in Cairns 11-12 November.
• Access support from a network of experienced mentors.
• Help to organize training or networking events for women in your own region.
• Connect with other like-minded women through Growcom's Horti-Hubs network, the Qld Rura Women's Network and other initiatives.
• Access valuable information through the Horti-Hubs bi-monthly newsletter.

What's the Leadership Program?

The Leadership Program will run on 11 -12 November and involves:

• The one day course, "The Leadership Journey" – a highly acclaimed leadership training course delivered by Women & Leadership Australia.
• An opportunity to meet representatives from project sponsors, National Australia Bank.
• Networking dinner on Friday evening 11 November
• Presentations and discussion sessions covering industry training needs, retail trends in fresh produce marketing, and planning for other regional women's events.

A group of growers from southern Qld participated in the program in October. They found it a highly valuable couple of days away from the farm and family to refresh their focus, meet new people and explore new ideas.
