On behalf of the Girringun Aboriginal Corporation, the Steering Committee of the Queensland Coastal Conference 2011 extend an invitation for you to join them at the third Queensland Coastal Conference, to be held at The Pullman Reef Hotel, Cairns, North Queensland from 19-21 October 2011.

The conference will provide an opportunity to share our common coastal issues, discuss solutions, discover what the latest coastal science and practices are telling us in the context of traditional ecological knowledge, network with colleagues and industry leaders and renew your enthusiasm for coastal management.

The 2011 conference program will feature invited keynote speakers, concurrent sessions, workshops, field trips and exhibitors, and will attract over 250 delegates from all over Queensland and Australia.

'Ancient Knowledge, Contemporary Innovation' is the theme for the conference which promises to be an event not to be missed.

So whether you are a coastal manager, policy writer, planner, engineer, researcher, Coastcare or community group member or traditional owner with a passion for your sea country, the Committee looks forward to welcoming you to Cairns in October.
