22nd annual Queensland Landcare Conference: Generations of Guardians

The 2011 Queensland Landcare Conference, with the theme Generations of Guardians, takes place in Ayr (one hour south of Townsville) from 20 – 23 September. The event is hosted by Lower Burdekin Landcare Association and is expected to attract around 250 landcarers from across the state.

Keynote presentations by Dr Linda Selvey, CEO Greenpeace Australia Pacific and Dr John Williams, Member Wentworth Group of Concerned Scientists and Commissioner for Natural Resources NSW will launch the event and concurrent sessions on topics as broad as engaging young people, Indigenous land management, sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, soil and water, innovations in delivery and community education and engagement will also take place.
