Our friends at cafnec have brought this to our attention: This October, Powershift will be held in Brisbane to build a youth climate movement to solve the climate crisis. Over a thousand young people will come together for workshops, speakers and inspiring experiences to empower young people to take action on climate change.

The AYCC has selected six towns to run regional trainings in preparation for Powershift, and Cairns is one of those towns.

The one day training will give you the skills to empower young people from your area to take action on climate change. We are building a generation of leaders for a sustainable future. If you come to this training this will be the first step of your journey with us.

Powershift will be a moment our generation will never forget. When young people unite from all across Australia to make a stand for a clean energy future. The Australian Youth Climate Coalition is building the movement that is making this stand. We aim to educate, inspire, empower and mobilise young people to take action from a local to a international level.

Attendees: all young people between 12 and 30 are welcome
