LANDCARE QUEENSLAND has pulled out all stops in a grab for young volunteers. Controversial new YouTube flicks have riotous character, KLAUS VON BÜSH, discovering young folk in - what appear to be compromising positions - across beautiful, outdoor Queensland. KLAUS VON BÜSH has his own Facebook page boasting over 200 friends who are quite desperate to see his escapades on celluloid. His profile paints a rather dubious character with musical interests ranging from, David Hasselhoff to Splendour in the Grass, and interests including sausages, beer – and the rather strange 'bush turkey'... perhaps the videos may shed some light on these oddities. Fans will also be pleased to know that plans have been made for KLAUS' face-board to again appear at SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS 2011. The question remains, will KLAUS himself appear this year? Perhaps it being REGINA SPEKTOR'S only live performance this year will be enough to drag him out of the dunes. The light-hearted escapades of this travelling side-show are in support of LANDCARE QUEENSLAND's campaign, OUR VOLUNTEERS DO IT IN THE BUSH. Despite Klaus' misinterpretations, the young folk he stumbles upon in the great outdoors, are in fact volunteering to help Clean Up Queensland. They have volunteered to work with their mates, in their spare time, in their local area, doing their thing. No hardship, no hassle, just a bit of time to keep their State beautiful. Traditionally engaging an older generation, LANDCARE QUEENSLAND is hoping that this approach - designed to work with younger people's flexible time-frames, online capabilities and group social mentality will encourage them to donate some time to their future, today.
