Terrain AGM - large Ingham presence
Written by Kathryn Dryden

A large Ingham contingent attended the recent Terrain Natural Resource Management Annual General Meeting in Innisfail.

Newly appointed Terrain CEO Carol Sweatman commented later that "it is very pleasing to see good relations between Councils, sugar cane and horticulture groups, as well as the grazing industry groups throughout the wet tropics.. we are all working towards the same goal: sustainable farming and management of our natural resources."

Hinchinbrook Shire Councillor Sherry Kaurila, who attended the meeting, said that Hinchinbrook Shire is very happy to share the tasks of natural resource management, including hopefully winning grant funding for pest and weed eradication work. "The best way to achieve this is by fostering good working relationships between Terrain and Council, and with industry research and development groups such as BSES and Herbert Cane Productivity Services," said Cr Kaurila.

"We are really proud of the strengthening working relationship between Terrain and our team here at Terrain Ingham, and we work on hard on that" said Lawrence DiBella, Terrain's Ingham Team Leader commented after the AGM.
