Landcare wants to boost youth involvement – Cairns Pilot

Landcare Queensland is coordinating a media campaign across three pilot regions in Queensland aimed at boosting youth involvement in Landcare.

Primarily targeting university students in Cairns, Toowoomba and Brisbane, the students will be encouraged to participate in a range of Landcare activities during Landcare Week 6 – 12 September.

Landcare Groups are invited to register to run an event. A resource kit, and one-on-one support is available with coordinating a strong community activity. Modest funding may also be available. This campaign is supported by the Australian Government's Caring for Our Country program.
