Treat social media as work tools
Don't fight it, embrace it. That's the advice of global employment services firm, Manpower to employers confronting the issue of employees using social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter during office hours. "...The distinction between work use and personal use is increasingly blurry," Manpower's managing director Lincoln Crawley says.

As more and more young people enter the workforce who have had access to these tools, their expectations of continuing to use them, are going to be even higher, Crawley says. He suggests 'working groups from core teams' should look at how social networks can be used for business growth.
