Currently we are finalising the audit process to enable verification under the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Standard. This will prepare Terrain for trading carbon offset credits on both the voluntary and regulatory markets. Winners will be announced on Tuesday 18 August. The $10,000 prize money is awarded to an Australian individual, group or organisation for work that demonstrates a comitment to pursuing innovative solutions to the challenges posed by climate change. Click here to visit the finalists webpage. Also in August we produced a Services brochure for Terrain NRM at the request of RRRC (Reef and Rainforest Research Centre) and the Prime Minister's secretariat for insertion into media kits and delegates for the Pacific Island Forum hosted by the Prime Minister and held in Cairns between Tuesday 4th to Friday 8 August. Also check out recent media releases both local and national. |

Terrain NRM was nominated for the prestigious Eureka Prize under the category 'Innovative Solutions to Climate Change'. The Degree Celsius team developed Australia's first regional scale approach to carbon sequestration from agricultural, forest and land use change activities.
